At Pialba State School, we engage students in a wide range of assessment tasks.
These tasks serve the purpose of informing teachers' planning and facilitation of a differentiated curriculum, as well as informing students how they are achieving so they can monitor their own learning journeys.
As well as regular, informal feedback and formative assessments, we have scheduled a range of diagnostic and summative assessments throughout the year. This timetable of assessment tasks is outlined in our School Assessment Overview.
The purpose of this overview is to ensure consistency of school-based assessments, as well as the yearly 3, 5 & 7 NAPLAN tests in Term 2 each year.
