Pialba State School has a strong student leadership team.
Students in their second last year at primary school (Year 5) are eligible to submit an application for a variety of positions. This takes place in term 4 each year.
The positions available include:
- School Captain (Four positions)

Sports House Captains (Two positions for each Sport House below)

ARTs Leader (One position)

Student Council (Position of President, Secretary, Treasurer and 3 elected)
The selection process involves both staff and students. The Student Leadership Application form is provided at the link on this page.
All School Leaders are announced at the last assembly of the year prior to taking up the position i.e. in December of the student's second last year at primary school.
A special assembly is held early term 1 each year to acknowledge the leaders for the year and to present them with their badges of office.
