School-based GP Clinic
Pialba State School provides access to a school-based GP clinic to support the health and wellbeing of students.
General Practitioner
The school GP is Dr Bennett, from Bayswater Family Practice.
The consultation room is located in the Administration Building, next to the main office.
Clinic hours
The clinic operates every Friday during school terms, from 8.45 am to 3.00 pm.
About the service
The school has established a fit-for-purpose GP consultation room to support timely access to healthcare for students. Dr Bennett provides care for a range of physical and mental health concerns at no cost to students or families.
Where required, referrals may be provided to:
- Medical specialists
- Allied health professionals
- Other external agencies
Cost
There is no cost for students to see the GP.
Appointments are bulk-billed through Medicare. Families are required to bring a Medicare card or Medicare number to the appointment. If a student is not eligible for Medicare, this must be advised at the time of booking.

Important information
First-time appointments must be booked as a long appointment (30 minutes). When booking online, select “Pialba School LONG."

A parent or carer must attend all appointments with their child.
