Health and Physical Education (HPE) within the Australian Curriculum is delivered through active, structured, and purposeful learning that builds both physical capability and personal wellbeing.

Students engage in a balanced program that develops fundamental movement skills, game sense, fitness, and physical literacy, alongside essential understandings of health, relationships, safety, and lifelong wellbeing. Learning is practical and participation-focused, with students regularly involved in games, skill development activities, fitness circuits, and team-based challenges that promote cooperation, resilience, and fair play.

The school provides dedicated HPE facilities and outdoor learning spaces that support high-quality physical activity and skill development. These environments enable students to practise, refine, and apply their skills in authentic, game-based contexts.

A specialist HPE teacher leads the program, ensuring strong curriculum alignment, consistent skill progression, and high-quality instruction across year levels. This supports students to build confidence, competence, and a positive attitude toward physical activity and healthy lifestyle choices.

The HPE program plays a key role in developing resilient, active, and health-literate students who understand the importance of physical wellbeing, teamwork, and personal responsibility—both in school and beyond.
