Bell times and Before School Supervision
Morning session: 8.45am - 11 am
Middle session: 11.50am - 1.20 pm
Afternoon session: 1.50pm - 2.50 pm
Attendance at school on time and every day is vital for all students success academically, socially and emotionally. Pialba State School encourages all families to ensure students are at school by 8:35 am.
Pialba has four staff members on duty before school from 8:10 am each morning. Two staff in the Prep Area of the school and two staff in the Year 1-6 area.
When students arrive after 8:10 am and before 8:35 am, they meet the Prep Duty Staff in the Prep Area or the Years 1-6 students meet in the Tuckshop area. At 8:20 students move out to the play area for movement before school and then they walk in and line up at 8:45 am for their class teachers to collect and transition them to their classroom.
Absent or Late arrivals
A note or phone call is requested if you know your child will be late or absent from school. Any late students are to sign in through the office.

Contribution scheme
To enable children to have the advantage of as many modern teaching aids as possible, the P & C Association seeks financial assistance from parents by means of a voluntary contribution scheme.
The current suggested amount is $50.00 per family per year. Contributions may be forwarded to the school office in an envelope marked with the family's name and amount enclosed. Receipts will be issued by the P & C Treasurer.
Collection of payments
This school has the facility to accept credit card or EFTPOS payments. A minimum payment of $10.00 will be required for you to access this facility. Other methods of payment are by cash and cheque. Please note - There will be no cash out facility with EFTPOS and credit card payments.
Reporting to parents
Report cards are provided in Terms 2 and 4.
Face to face interviews are offered in Term 1 and 3 or at any other time requested by parent or teacher.
Regular communication between home and school is vital to a successful educational partnership. Teachers accomplish this by many varied methods: email, Class dojo, phone calls.
